street/architecture photography

I’m a keen photographer, and I love documenting my travels through urban areas. I often photograph street scenes showing architecture at a human scale, but am also interested in the abstraction of materials at a large scale. The rich but rough textures of New York’s brick buildings and historic tenements give an entirely different aesthetic to the cool tones of Japan’s many concrete buildings - especially juxtaposed against the vibrant and colourful city lights.

american music tour

I was lucky enough to be selected for a travel bursary to visit music cities across the US. I travelled to New Orleans, Memphis, Detroit and New York to follow in the footsteps of some of the country’s most influential artists.

soho, london

This series of photos is from a street-photography workshop with the renowned photographer Joshua K Jackson. It was a fantastic opportunity, and I got some lovely photos to boot!

southbank, london

I try to get out in my home city as often as I can, capturing the busy London life, or focusing on unseen architectural details, constantly learning more about what makes our city tick.

Japan

I visited Japan for a study-trip in June 2017 and was blown away by the scale of the urban sprawl. These photos capture moments of serenity in a country which epitomises the dichotomy of calm and chaos.

barcelona, spain

A short weekend away in Barcelona allowed me to capture the rich colours of the Catalonian capital. A particular highlight was Mies Van Der Rohe’s beautiful German Pavilion, a masterclass in Modernism.

New York, USA

These photos were taken in March of 2017 during a trip to the city. The biting cold and heavy snowfall brought a silver-blue hue to the sky, giving a haziness to the trademark urban grain.
